A Showdown in Corinth

Series sermon #15: As Paul wraps up this section about the Corinthians' obsession with human wisdom, Paul confronts the church in four ways. He uses a letter, his example, a friend, and the promise of a personal encounter to admonish the Corinthian offenders. Two issues in the church compel him to confront them. Some in the church were arrogant and powerless. Paul demonstrates that godly believers care enough to confront others regarding their sin.
