Pastor Dan and his wife Karis have been a part of Colonial for more than 20 years. Shortly after they were married in 2000, they moved to Hampton Roads for Dan to study at VBTS. While working on his M.Div., Dan served for one year as a pastoral intern at Colonial.
CBC sent Dan and Karis out in 2008 to serve in Cameroon, Africa where they worked to equip national men and women for local church ministry over the course of 13 years. In an effort to become more effective in intercultural life and ministry, Dan completed his Doctorate of Intercultural Studies from Grace Theological Seminary during their time in Cameroon.
In 2021, Dan and Karis, along with their four children, returned to Virginia Beach to join the pastoral staff at CBC. Dan oversees Colonial’s local and international outreach efforts, coordinates member care within the church body, and teaches missions courses at VBTS.
Dan is passionate about training and mobilizing the next generation of God’s servants to advance His kingdom by reaching around the world with the gospel of Jesus. He enjoys playing games and being outdoors with his family and likes a variety of sports – especially golf, soccer and football, where, as a New England native, he cheers for the Patriots.
