Grace is Our Last Chance

Series Sermon #5: In Genesis 5 and 6, Moses combines a genealogy and a story to explain what became of Adam. In tracing the line of Adam through Seth to Noah, Moses emphasizes how the world's population increases despite the curse of sin and death. Then Moses tells the story of heinous sins committed against God and the increasing wickedness of the world's population. Moses' own final perspective on things rings out loudly in the last verse—the only chance for human beings is God's grace.
