Passage: 1 Thessalonians 5:1–11
Series Sermon #15: At the beginning of 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul turns to a different topic marked out by the words "Now concerning." He knows that the Thessalonians need more teaching about different times and seasons concerning the end. So, he specially instructs them about the "day of the Lord," and explains that it will be a severe time of judgment on the nations. Paul also explains that this time of judgment will not seize the Thessalonian believers; instead it will come upon unbelievers. Regardless, Paul says that believers should exhort and edify each other with these words about this future day of judgment.
