June 16, 2019 Speaker: Series: Thessalonians: Hope in Christ
Passage: 1 Thessalonians 4:9–12
Series Sermon #12: Timothy brought an encouraging report to Paul about how the Thessalonian believers cared for one another. Although they were growing in their love for each other, Paul desires them to abound more and more. In particular, Paul addresses one demonstration of a lack of mutual love in the assembly. Some believers were apparently living off the good intentions of others and not demonstrating a responsible work ethic. So, Paul demonstrates how caring for others includes not absorbing all their resources for personal comfort.
