Matthew closes his gospel with an account of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. His account, however, does not give specific details regarding the nature of his resurrection. Instead, Matthew emphasizes how people respond to the empty tomb. Some respond in faith and others refuse to believe. From that time forward, people respond to Christ’s resurrection in one of these two ways.
