Isaiah 53 is really the first Gospel, and it was given over 700 years before the birth of Christ. There are actually 5 stanzas to this poem beginning with the last three verses of Chapter 52. In this last stanza of 53:10-12, Isaiah makes two specific points. First, the death of the Messiah was no accident or the result of angry religious leaders. No! The Messiah's death had infinite value, and this leads to the second point of this last stanza. (2) There are at least 5 eternal benefits of the Messiah's death for all those who trust in him for their eternal life. These benefits will now be explored in this communion message.
