During a difficult time in the history of Judah, Isaiah gives them a message about their sin, eliminates false sources of hope, and challenges them to go to God for help. Near the conclusion of this sermon text, Isaiah reveals that they can be cleansed even though their sins have left an indelible mark. God can not only address their sin, He can make them as pure as wool and white as snow.
