Proof That You've Truly Received the True Gospel

In this text, Paul thanks God for the work that Gospel is doing among the Colossians—it's producing faith in Christ and love for the saints. Through his prayer of thanks, he intends to assure the Colossians that they have truly received the true Gospel. Can Christians today have similar assurance that they've truly received the true Gospel?
