Series Sermon #24: At the end of Hebrews 9, the author considers two more reasons why the sacrifice of Jesus is superior to the sacrifices of the old covenant: His sacrifice 1) entirely meets God's demands and 2) provides salvation. Within these verses are also contained important promises for the follower of Jesus. If we eagerly wait for Christ, we will receive future salvation and an eternal inheritance. So, the author pushes us to look beyond daily events and attain a future orientation that considers the value of Jesus's death for us.
