Series Sermon #7: The author of Hebrews loves comparisons! He has already compared Christ to prophets and angels and in chapters 3 and 4 he introduces two other comparisons. Framing his whole argument around a citation of Psalm 94, the author compares Jesus to Moses and Joshua and suggests that Christ is better. In 3:1-6, Jesus compares favorably with Moses because of his rank and status as a Son over God's house. This passage calls us to consider further the faithfulness of Jesus.
