As a word of final warning, the author of Hebrews challenges his readers to give all diligence toward entering God's rest. As a means of motivation, he informs his readers of the all-penetrating nature of God's Word and the all-knowing nature of his sight. God's Word is living in that it lays open the thoughts and intentions of our hearts.
