The Principle of Love (Part 1)

Series sermon #23: In 1 Corinthians 8–10, Paul addresses the believer’s relationship to meat offered to idols. The Corinthians asked Paul simple but controversial questions about whether believers could eat meat offered to idols. Some of them claimed to know that idols and idol meat could not impact one’s relationship with God. Paul responds to these questions with six different principles for them to consider before eating the meat. Today's messages cover the first principle—the principle of love. In part 1, we discover the nature of the "knowledge" that the Corinthians claimed to have and the insufficiency of that knowledge in making wise choices.
