In 2024 John joined CBC staff as the Mission and Ministry Assistant following 25 years as a submariner in the U.S. Navy. He assists in organizing various ministries at the church, including men's discipleship groups, community groups, and member prayer requests.
As a seminary student at Virginia Beach Theological Seminary, John plans to graduate in 2027 with a Master of Theological Studies degree with a focus on biblical counseling and is preparing for additional service to the Lord wherever he might lead.
John and his wife, Rachel, live in Norfolk and have a passion for pointing military and international students to Christ. They enjoy the outdoors in all forms. In their 25 years of marriage they have been blessed with five children and one grandchild.
